On September 19-20, in Paris, on the territory of the EDF research center, one of the organizers, the 3rd European Conference on the Use of Supercritical CO₂ ((3rd European sCO₂ Conference) in the energy sector was held.

At the conference, more than 30 reports were presented on various problems arising from the implementation of cycles using sCO₂ as a working fluid.

The conference was attended by the representatives of the Company, Deputy General Directors Yury Sukhorukov and Valery Rokhlin, head of the laboratory Sergey Esin and lead researcher Igor Kovalev.

Much attention in the course of the work was given to the experimental study of heat transfer processes and the influence of the working fluid on the state of the metal. Most reports focused on the use of CO₂ when heated in solar heat recovery cycles.

Of interest were the reports on experimental studies of turbine and compressor seals. A large number of reports were performed at the Chinese EDF laboratory, as well as at universities in Korea and the USA.
