Vladimir E. Mikhailov, General Director of JSC NPO CKTI, and Yuri G. Sukhorukov, Deputy General Director for Scientific Work, Head of the Department of Heat Exchange and Circuit Equipment of Thermal Power Plants and Nuclear Power Plants, took part in the XII International Forum ATOMEXPO-2022.
The forum was attended by over 3,000 specialists and guests from Russia, as well as 65 countries of the near and far abroad: representatives of business, government agencies, international organizations, including from China, Belarus, Hungary, India, Turkey, Brazil, Egypt, South Africa, Vietnam, South Korea.
The forum was held under the motto "Atomic Spring": creating a sustainable future."
The main topic of the plenary session of the first day was the prospects for the development of global nuclear energy. During the session, the possibilities and scenarios for the development of nuclear energy in the conditions of the crisis that is currently unfolding in the world due to the multiple increase in the price of hydrocarbon fuel, instability of supplies, destruction of logistics and technological chains were considered.
The plenary session of the second day was devoted to the possibilities of using low-power nuclear power plants (ASMM). It was noted that Rosatom will replicate low-power NPP projects in Russia and offer them to foreign customers.
